MMK steel output falls 22% to 2.358 mln tns in April–June
MOSCOW, Jul 14 (PRIME) -- The steel output of Russia’s Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) fell by 22% on the quarter to 2.358 million tonnes in April–June, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Cast iron output decreased by 11.3% to 2.089 million tonnes.
In January–June, steel production fell by 13.2% on the year to 5.381 million tonnes, the cast iron one 8.3% to 4.444 million tonnes.
Coal concentrate output rose 18.8% to 1.501 million tonnes, while iron ore output remained unchanged at 1.445 million tonnes.
